Announcing the 2018 Kelly Somey Digital Marketing Scholarship
The Kelly Somey Digital Marketing Scholarship rewards a college bound student with interest in pursuing a digital marketing career and passion for creativity.
Scholarship Eligibility
To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a high school senior and interested in pursuing a creative career in the digital space. UNION will review all applications and select one recipient to receive the $1,000 scholarship.
This scholarship will be awarded on May 15th.
Background
This scholarship honors Kelly Somey, a former high school art teacher. Mr. Somey was a dedicated mentor and teacher that went above and beyond to provide guidance to students looking to harness their creative talents to pursue careers in creative fields.
Recipients Will Receive
A scholarship worth $1,000 will be awarded to be awarded the third week of May.
Deadline
The deadline for entries is April 30th. The winner will be announced on May 15th.
How to Apply
Please submit a 300–500 word essay describing your passion for creativity (bonus points for a focus on digital!) that also highlights any teachers or mentors that have helped you along the way. Please submit your essay to scholarship@union.co with 2018 Digital Marketing Scholarship in the headline.
